Turquoise hunting

Last weekend I ended up in Scottsdale, kind of a spontaneous trip for me -it was a good one. A little cutting and a whole lot of turquoise hunting! We visited the old town area -lots of cool shops, jewelry stores & restaurants.
One of the best shops we visited was Bischoff's -a little bit of everything in that store from high end items to Minnetonkas, old pawn jewelry, handmade decor to hardware. Retablo was a good place to shop too!
I came home inspired and with lots of goodies -even found myself a squashblossom. I've been on the hunt for the perfect one for years....I'm kinda picky and this one called my name, the turquoise wasn't too blue, the beads are all each handmade (& not shiny!) and its old like 1940s old...I had to bring that home! It was a good trip.
